Signs of Life

Wistmans Wood

Wistmans Wood is a tiny remnant of the ancient oak forest that used to stretch across all of Dartmoor. Humble in size, it is nevertheless one of the most alive and amazing places that I have visited. Every surface is covered in living matter; mosses, ferns, lichen. It always feels a privilege to visit and a chance to do so never comes soon enough.
