The Colour of Light

Achnahaird Winter Evening

Beauty is often transitory. I ran across the dunes, with my camera slung over my shoulder on the tripod, to make this image of sunlight striking a retreating thunder cloud and the gold-rimmed pools out on the beach. The light lasted a minute or two at most and then was gone forever. Except within the image that I had captured.
