Yellowstone has a reputation as a must see location for photographers but I have to admit that apart from the geothermal areas it failed to impress me. I'd visited this spot around lunchtime a few days earlier and thought that it would work early in the morning so this late afternoon visit was not planned but proved to be very worthwhile.
