Callanish Stones
Landscape photographers, myself included, have a weakness for the form provided by naked geology. The rock that was carved to form these monoliths, Lewisian Gneiss, are amongst the oldest on the surface of the planet. The image also speaks of the particular moment: the angle of light dependent on the time of year, the late evening light and the passing thundershower.
