Gearrannan wall detail
I've made a few images of the restored blackhouses at Gearrannan (Garennin) but I keep being drawn back. Blackhouses are the original pattern for buildings in the Outer Hebrides, the architecture is distantly related to Viking farmhouses. Their form is sparse but they have a utilitarian beauty.
